The Evolution of Mandalas

Mandalas represent a sacred spiritual symbol in many cultures. They are often used as tools for prayer and meditation. The history of Mandalas is rich and varied, and their meaning changes depending on the culture that created them. In recent years, there has been a resurgence of Mandalas in the art world. Artists are experimenting with new technologies to create stunning new designs.

Our first project at WICGAN, as contemporary artists, has been reimagining this ancient symbol through generative art and technology. Mandalas are some of the most visually engaging pieces of art out there. They can be incredibly simple or incredibly complex, but they always draw the eye in and keep it there. Historically, mandalas have been created through a variety of mediums, but with the advent of blockchain technology and non-fungible tokens (NFTs), their evolution is just beginning.

Mandalas have been around for centuries and can be used as a form of meditation, to relieve stress or just as an artistic expression. Now Mandalas are evolving into something more than traditional pieces — they’re becoming part of the blockchain revolution! Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) on the Ethereum network allow for infinite amounts of unique digital assets which means there’s no limit to what can be created with them. If you want to explore generative art and find out how NFTs work in relation to generating beautiful new types of artwork like mandalas, join us on our WICGAN journey! https://opensea.io/wicgan
